GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW - 1988

A few days earlier, on 3rd October, 'Marina Fiera di Genova' was opened, premises of the Sea Pavilion of the Boat Show, completed to host not only boats on display in the sea, but also all commercial facilities for the companies and shipyards owning the boats. The Marina Mercantile Minister had also attended the opening ceremony.
The Sea Pavilion includes 200 meters of covered quay, connected to the fairgrounds: a great success worldwide, which makes Fiera di Genova exhibition facilities some of the best in Europe.
The surf sector is once again at the Show, while all brokers and charters have been gathered in the gallery of Pavilion S. For the first time ever, thanks to an agreement with American Express Card, the Show can be accessed using a credit card. VIP's at the Show: Albert of Belgium, Charles Aznavour, Carla Gravina, Tonino Conte, Massimo Boldi, Stefano Casiraghi, Enrica Bonaccorti, Beppe Grillo, Renato Pozzetto, Enzo Maiorca, Jacques Mayol, Folco Quilici, Bud Spencer, Renato Dalla Valle, Carlo Delle Piane, Michele Alboreto, Gerry Scotti, Toto Cotugno, the Undersecretaries for Tourism, Mr Antonio Muratore and Mr Luigi Rossi di Montelera, the Industry Ministry Undersecretary, Mr Ivo Gutini, the Finance Ministry Undersecretary, Mr Stefano De Luca, the Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mr Alfredo Biondi, and the President of the Chamber of Deputies Transports Commission, Mr Antonio Testa.
Boats on display; 1,478, 420 new ones. 27 novelties in the motor sector and 54 in the accessories sector.
